Pinetree Lodge is ideally located for Snowmobilers and skiers from St. John’s and the Avalon Peninsula. Snow conditions are radically different North of the Terra Nova National Park. Historically, in this area, the amount of snow is greater, and lasts well into April. Further, when there is no snow just a few mile South of Pinetree Lodge, you will find snow here.
Newfoundland sits in the North Atlantic Ocean several hundred kilometres off the eastern coast of Mainland Canada, thus making the province a good candidate for to be rich in snow and winter activities to go along with that climate
The area around Pinetree Lodge and Cabins is a winter activity paradise with some of the finest snowmobile and cross-country trails on the island. Take a day long trip along the railbed to the community of Terra Nova, or just explore some of the numerous woods roads into the heart of nature. It’s good for the soul.
